Immune Boosting Smoothie

While working out and getting exercise in on a daily basis assures that your body is heathy, there are times when our bodies could use that extra kick to boost our immune systems! This smoothie is loaded with all the ingredients your body needs to stay strong and healthy!!


  • 1 large carrot, peeled

  • 2 tangerines or 1 large orange

  • 6 ounces fresh orange juice

  • 1 tsp chia seeds

  • 6–8 ounces plain yogurt

  • 3 to 4 dates, pitted

  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon

  • 1/2 tbsp grated ginger

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

  • Optional: 1/2 tbsp coconut oil

  • 2 cups (2 small bowls, or 1 large bowl).


  1. Peel your carrot and oranges and cut into smaller pieces.

  2. Place carrot, oranges, and juice in a blender. Blend until a thick juice is formed.

  3. Next add your chia seeds, yogurt, spices, ginger, and coconut oil.

  4. Blend again.

  5. To turn this smoothie into a smoothie bowl, add an addition 1 tsp chia seed and let the blended smoothie mix sit over night, (or at least for a few hours) in the fridge. The chia seeds will help it thicken. Pour into bowls and garnish with orange slices, cinnamon, gluten free oats, and optional honey.
