Post Workout Refresher

Watermelon and coconut water for rehydration. Blueberries for post workout antioxidant protection. Cherries for muscle recovery. Could it get any better than this? After a hard workout your body needs help recovering quickly, try this post workout smoothie to speed the process along and to keep you feeling great long afterward.


Ingredients:


  • 1 cup frozen fresh wild blueberries

  • ½ cup frozen tart cherries

  • 2 wedges fresh watermelon

  • ½ lemon, juiced

  • ½ lime, juiced

  • 2-3 sprigs fresh mint

  • 3-4 oz. coconut water

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

  2. Top with a few mint leaves as a garnish.

  3. Serve immediately.
